This Curriculum will follow pure Montessori methods. All the concepts will be done by using Montessori materials. At the end of Mont-III , the Students will have a sound knowledge of Phonics/Grammar and would be able to write or read Sentences and Short comprehensions in English, Can composite any number till 9999 and do the Addition, Subtraction and Multiplication in Math, would have a wide knowledge of Geography, Zoology, Botany, History and Science.
Montessori Education is the education system developed by the educator Dr. Maria Montessori for the kids between the age group of 2.5 and 6 years. This approach provides complete independence and freedom of expression to the kids within the framework of the defined syllabus. The Montessori approach has been accepted worldwide including the schools in India.
Fun-filled activities like Circle time, structured and unstructured play-time to help the toddlers to get accustomed to the school environment.
They get introduced to the concept of classroom, schooling and socializing with the peers and teachers.
The activities designed are to help them understand memorizing and get them introduced to language and numerals, phonemic awareness, thematic concepts of everyday science, life skills like buttoning, zipping, etc, pre-writing and pre-reading skills.
Children of the Montessori I will be aware of the Beginning sounds of the letters, Sorting, Numerals from 1-20 [with the concepts of Tens and Ones only upon the child’s readiness. Also, they are exposed to the Sensorial and thematic based environmental science activities in immense depth. The ending sounds of the letters also will be done depending on the child’s readiness. Writing and logical exercises are also practised.
The kids of Mont II would be writing alphabets and numbers till 100, learning to frame 3-letter words and getting introduced to form 4-letter words.
They will be exposed to backward counting, missing numbers, skip counting also in Math.
They will also get introduced to number names. Children will be exposed to everyday science and cultural studies with Geography, Zoology, Botany etc.
The kids of Mont III would be writing cursive alphabets and learn numbers 100 and beyond.
In language, they will be able to make/read a sentence, creative writing and introduction to Grammar.
In Math, they will be exposed to the facts of addition, subtraction operations and Introduction to multiplicaition.
Land and Water forms, lifecycles and Parts of would be covered.
Our curriculum is based on Montessori philosophy developed by Dr. Maria Montessori.

Exercises of Practical Life
The practical life area of the Montessori environment has goals of providing purposeful activity, develops motor control and co-ordination, develops independence, concentration and a sense of responsibility.
The activities found in this area of the classroom provide real life experiences for children. These are organized in three main areas: Care of the person, Care of the environment, Grace and courtesy. Buttoning, Zipping etc.
The activities are considered as caring of the person. Activities of Pouring, Spooning, cloth folding, taking care of pets and plants comes under caring of environment. Exercises in Grace and Courtesy consist of things such as Greeting others, how to interrupt others etc.
Maria Montessori believed that nothing comes into the mind except through the sense. During the years three and six, as children develop their senses, their attention is directed toward the environment.
The purpose of the sensorial activities is to help the child in his efforts to sort out the many varied impressions given by the sense.
These materials are specifically designed to help the child develop visual discrimination, order and to broaden and refine the senses. They also help prepare him to be a logical, aware and perceptive person.
Learning mathematical concepts in a Montessori classroom begins concretely and progresses towards the abstract. They are developed from simple to complex. Process first and facts come later. Order, co-ordination, concentration and independence are experienced by the child using these materials.
The Math activities are organized into five groups.
Group One introduces sets of one through ten which prepares the child for counting and teaches the value of quality.
Group Two involves the decimal system using the golden bead material with the names of the decimal categories: units, tens, hundreds and thousands.
Group Three deals with linear counting. Quantity is presented using teen and ten boards followed by symbol and association.
Group Four deals with the operation using the golden bead material. The concept of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are presented. Abstract games will be presented.
Group Five contains activities for memorization of facts. Fractions are also a part of this group.
The Montessori classroom is designed in such a way that all activities gear naturally develop the skills required for language reading and writing.
Vocabulary is enriched in number of ways Precise names are used for all objects and apparatus.
Vocabulary classification and matching exercises develop visual perception, vocabulary development and develop left to right movement. Books on the shelf, Special reading day, Circle time activity, Sand paper letters are some of the activities which are used in language area.
The cultural area of the Montessori classroom covers a variety of subjects like Geography, Science, Botany, Zoology and History.
Art and Music are also considered a part of the cultural area of the classroom. Maria felt that having knowledge and understanding of such subjects is what makes one a “cultured” person.
